Hello there! I'm a first-generation freshman attending the University of Nevada, Las Vegas under the engineering pathway. Thanks to my passion for all things computers and technology, I aim to be a Computer Science major to work on turning that passion into a lifelong career. Wh...en I was in high school, I've had the opportunity to learn about tens upon tens of universities throughout the country that can provide me with the knowledge I need to get started, but UNLV stood out to me because of the sheer amount of opportunities that are to be had here on top of how much there is to experience. There are hundreds of clubs, several dorms you can choose to reside in, fraternities and sororities, and most importantly, staff and other students that you can interact with all throughout the very noticeably diverse and welcoming campus. Because I come from a working class background, this is one of the best opportunities that I have ever had the option to pursue. On top of that, I have always valued my education and being able to learn anything I can and passing on that knowledge to others who find themselves curious. Show more
