Eddie Delaney played football in high school, but having one hand caused him to always consider himself to be an underdog. He was accepted at the University of Albany and on his own, reached out to the coaching staff with a highlight tape. After watching it, they offered him a t...ryout for an open walk-on spot, where he made the team and ended up redshirting his freshman year. After working his tail off on the field and in the gym, he became a starter and ended up earning an All-Conference award. He continued to have success throughout the rest of his college career, and he even got some looks from a number of NFL teams. Post-graduation, Eddie became a a founding board member and men's head coach for the non-profit NubAbility, which is dedicated to coaching kids with limb loss -- inspiring them to get off the bench and into the game of mainstreamed organized sports. His goal is to continue to inspire and change lives of kids with limb-differences.
