Hey everyone! I am currently a sophomore at Cal Poly Pomona in the College of Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences as a Multimedia Journalism major, and I am considering minoring in Music Performance. I didn't do much research on colleges until my senior year and felt that I would...n't get into a good school because I wasn't prepared enough. I took many campus tours and researched both in and out of state universities and ultimately landed on Cal Poly Pomona because of their beautiful campus and excellent education. The hardest part for me was transitioning between high school life and university life, but the professors and the students I met understood those struggles and even provided resources to help me make that transition. I was able to continue participating in independent drumlines, and while balancing everything can be difficult, it is definitely possible and has helped me meet even more people both on an off campus. Making that transition and choosing a university can be incredibly challenging, but you don't have to be alone while making a choice.
