I am a senior studying Neuroscience at Harvard University. Throughout my undergraduate education, I have been able to take advantage of crucial opportunities offered to me at Harvard, working in stimulating, hands-on environments to build both academic command and practical rese...arch skills within the area of neuroscience. I am eager to share my thoughts about the best ways to gain valuable experiences that open doors for students throughout college. For example, a key process for me was learning how to connect with my professors, leading to discussion and work on ground-breaking topics and ideas, as well as building laboratory experience, eventually leading me to conduct my own thesis project. Additionally, as captain of the Women's Cross Country team, I have experience with handling the tough schedule of an NCAA Division I student-athlete and can share how I’ve been able to manage my time. This includes making time to explore the many social scenes outside of the Cross Country and Track teams, including finals clubs, cultural groups, and a wide range of campus events. For example, I have had the privilege of serving as the Lead Set designer for Ghungroo Harvard, the largest cultural show on campus centering South Asian and South Asian diaspora communities. I am offering a close look at my college experience, from first touring campus, to picking my concentration (major), to balancing my time between school, a highly competitive sports team, and social opportunities.
