Hi everyone! My name is Jackie Garcia and I’m currently a third year at UC Santa Barbara in the College of Letters and Science. My major is Sociology and I’m also getting a minor in Applied Psych. My first year at UCSB was in 2020 and was completely online because of the COVID p...andemic. I moved into the dorms my second year and joined a Latinx organization on campus. I also have an on-campus job at one of the graduate school buildings on campus. I have been able to meet a lot of people and learn about the resources offered to students at UCSB, especially for first-generation, low-income students such as myself.
