Hello! My name is Joseph Chon and I am a second year Neuroscience major on the pre-med track with a minor in Public Health at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. Attending a big SEC school definitely has its advantages in academic and social perspectives, but also can be daun...ting to navigate such as selecting a major, understanding the ins-and-outs of specific programs, and experiencing the culture. As a first generation college student that had to go through the entire college process alone, I understand where the stress and anxiety might lie from selecting a college to attend or choosing which classes and extracurriculars to be a part of so I want to offer my personal experience, advice, and well-rounded perspectives that others might have! During my time at the University of Tennessee, I went through changing my major, finding interest groups, exposing myself to research and internships, and so much more.
