Hi! My name is Riley and I’m a junior at Brown. I’m from San Francisco, CA and am studying Classics (Latin) and Political Science (theory track). On campus, I’m involved in Brown Model UN, student government, Brown Political Review (nonpartisan political magazine), Brown War Wat...ch (pro-peace group raising awareness about the costs of war), work in the decarceration/anti-prison activism space and am involved in writing on campus. I’m also interning with a state senator in Rhode Island to work on a bill to shut down the state’s women’s prison, and have experience with college athletics (I was on the rowing team). I transferred to Brown my sophomore year, so am also happy to talk about that experience, as well as how to navigate the job search and choosing internships. Lastly - I’m going abroad in the spring, so can speak to that experience and deciding whether to go abroad and where.
