I am a senior Marketing student at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, CA. I was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawai’i, so I wanted to experience a new, exciting, and beautiful place outside of my home—PLNU provides just that! I am offering a fully transparent insight in...to all that PLNU has to offer. I have been in your shoes as a freshman and I remember that uncertainty all too well; I know how beneficial encouragement and comfort can be in a time such as this. PLNU has provided me with so many opportunities to break out of my shell and get involved in the communities here. Throughout my time at PLNU so far, I have held leadership positions in the campus’ Multicultural Opportunities for Students Actively Involved in Community (MOSAIC) organization, worked an on-campus job in the Literature, Journalism, Writing, and Language (LJWL) Department, mentored a freshman through one of PLNU’s mentorship programs and volunteered as a Student Ambassador at our Center for Justice and Reconciliation. The Fermanian School of Business at PLNU has fostered my professional development and continues to guide me through the steps to becoming a successful Marketing businesswoman. The fantastic Business programs and excellent professors who truly care about each student and their development have made me so excited to graduate and enter into the Marketing world. Plus, I can never complain about the beautiful sunsets and surf that PLNU offers daily.
