Peter Spann has been involved in the wine industry for the past 40 years. He has traveled through and lived in France initially and then moved to California. After working crush at two Napa Valley wineries, he decided to make his own wines, blending the best attributes of tradit...ional European wines with California innovations. In 2000 he and his wife Betsy bought their vineyard in the Mayacamas Mountains of Sonoma and Spann Vineyards was born. Their wine is a combination of European and Californian wine-making techniques and they tend to be very food-friendly and unique.
