Hello, my name is Tobias Afdahl. I am currently a sophomore at the Cal State Maritime Academy. I’m from the SF Bay Area and grew up regularly fixing trucks and boats, which is what stemmed my interest in engineering. I also love being by the water and on the CA Delta and SF Bay,... so I chose CMA, where I can have both. My major is Mechanical Engineering on the U.S. Coast Guard license track. Leadership is important to me, so I became an officer in the Corps of Cadets. In this role, I’ve learned a lot about the nature of this school and how it operates.
