Hello! I am a freshman at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly). I am majoring in environmental engineering with a minor in biology. The quarter system definitely moves fast, but I love that I can take more classes each year. There are tons of acade...mic resources to help students stay on track. I appreciate that each professor has office hours for students to attend to get one-on-one help. Studying in the College of Engineering is rigorous, but I have had no trouble engaging in other environments. I am in a Panhellenic sorority and have developed a lot of friendships through the Greek Life system. The freshman dorms are also very social, and I have felt at home all year. While first-years aren't allowed to have cars on campus, there are a lot of transportation resources for exploring SLO and the surrounding areas. My favorite places to visit are Montaña De Oro State Park and Morro Bay State Park. I love spending time in the outdoors, and the California Central Coast is the perfect place to do so.
