Hey! I’m freshman at UCLA and a political science major. I’d love to tell you about my experiences here, why I chose to be a Bruin, and what UCLA has to offer. I’m in a sorority and also super involved in activism and community service. Although an intense academic atmosphere ca...n be stressful, I’ve loved all of my classes at UCLA. I am trying to take advantage of every opportunity that being at such a big school offers, including attending visiting lectures from experts, watching every sports game possible, studying abroad, and taking advantage of internship opportunities and real-world connections. I love being right in Westwood when it comes to shopping and trying out new restaurants, and I try to take advantage of our proximity to the beach, the mountains, downtown LA and just about anything else you could want to do. I’m still deciding what I want to do with my political science degree post-grad, and UCLA gives me plenty of room to explore that by offering pre-law classes, exchange programs in DC, political internships, and chances to get involved with nonprofits on and off campus.
