Hi! My name is Francesca and I’m currently a junior at the University of California Santa Barbara. I am majoring in aquatic biology because I love the ocean and I love science! I intern at a research lab on campus where we study coral reef ecology, and I absolutely love it. I am... also on the surf team which has been a great way to make friends who have similar interests to me. UCSB has a huge range of clubs and extracurricular activities to get involved with. I live in a house in Isla Vista with other students, and we all use bikes to get to class because that’s the easiest way to get around the campus. UCSB also offers a wide range of study abroad programs, and I will be studying marine biology in Australia next fall quarter at the University of Queensland! My favorite part about going to UCSB is being so close to the beach! I love my school and I am happy to answer any questions about UCSB and my experience as a student here. Show more
