Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine

Hello! I’m Student Doctor Jori Enfield, a first year medical student at Touro University California College of Osteopathic Medicine (TUCOM). I graduated from UC San Diego with a bachelor's degree in Biology in 2016. Soon after, I moved to San Francisco to work for various health... tech companies, including Google Health, and worked as a scribe at the Zuckerberg SF General Hospital Emergency Department and Trauma Center. My passion for Osteopathic Medicine stemmed from my lifelong traditional martial arts training, imbued with philosophy similar to Dr. A.T. Still’s Osteopathic tenets, as well as years of shadowing talented OMM physician specialists. My vision is to become an Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) specialist, a physician-level hands-on modality of healthcare, while embracing innovations in health tech to prevent and treat the root causes of disease. I chose TUCOM for its outstanding OMM and Primary Care programs and for its supportive, collaborative, and family-oriented community. To learn more about TUCOM and improve my candidacy for medical school, I participated in the Touro University California Master of Science in Medical Health Sciences (MSMHS) Program where I obtained my Master’s degree in 2021. As a first year osteopathic medical student, I am currently a member of the TUCOM 2025 Class Council, a karate instructor for Touro’s Integrative Medicine Club, VP of Finance for Touro’s Teen Life Conference, involved with Touro’s health tech/OMM related research, and am involved with several other extracurricular research projects in the health tech field.
