Hello there! I am originally from Denver, Colorado and am currently in my second year at Oregon State University in the College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Science. I do not have my major declared yet, but I am deciding between geology and climate science. I am very passion...ate about the future of our planet and care a lot about my role in making a difference. Oregon State allows me to take classes where I get to be very hands on with my learning, which is especially important when pursuing a science where you must interact with the environment. In my first year I was very involved with the OSU Womxn’s Rugby Club. Which is an all inclusive rugby club that invites those who identify as women, as well as identify outside the gender binary, to be a part of a supportive community and sport. After playing rugby all four years of high school, I was proud to be able to be a member and officer for my new team and operate as the club treasurer. In my time so far, I’ve been able to meet so many new people and find new activities around campus, but it was definitely scary taking the first leap away from home. Show more
