I’m currently a Student Athlete at UC Irvine, competing with the Women’s Soccer Team while working on declaring a major in Business Administration. I’m originally from Cairo, Egypt but pushed myself to move out of my comfort zone and moved to the US to further develop myself as ...both a student and an athlete. I’m team captain of the U20 Egyptian Women’s National Team and have been called up to the Senior Egyptian Women’s National Team twice since my arrival to UCI which is something I’ve always dreamt of. I believe moving abroad alone at 18 has played a huge part in my character development and I hope my experience serves as an example for upcoming generations who otherwise might have been reluctant to take that step!
